“ENCHANTING PINK BEACH"

The famous Pink Beach on Komodo Island, Flores, East Nusa Tenggara is already a well-known beauty spot. But did you know Lombok also has its own beautiful “pink” beach? Known as Pantai Tangsi, it is located in Southeastern Lombok in Temeak village, Jerowaru regency, East Lombok, about 500 meters before Tanjung Ringgit, approximately 80 km from Mataram.
Pantai Tangsi’s pink color comes from the effect of sunlight reflecting off the tiny shells lining the beach, which appear red when mixed with seawater. Thanks to its benign currents, Pantai Tangsi is safe for swimming, as well as being an excellent snorkeling destination, thanks to its beautiful coral reefs.
Pantai Tangsi can be reached in about two hours from Mataram. The area is still pristine and under-developed, and there is little in the way of accommodation or and restaurants, so it is advisable to see Pantai Tangsi, or Pink Beach, on a day trip. The bad condition of the road makes the journey to this beautiful spot somewhat challenging.
