Embarking on a Merapi Adventure on a Safari Jeep
Are you interested in enjoying the beauty of Merapi on a safari jeep? Now you can embark on a new Merapi adventure by renting a safari jeep available in the area of Kaliurang, Sleman, Yogayakarta. With adrenalin rushing and eyes feasting on the beautiful sceneries of Merapi, the trip can be exhilarating yet exciting. With IDR 250,000 you can get a standard package of around 20 km trip to enjoy the lava tour from Kaliadem, Kepuharjo, and Cangkringan.
For a longer route, you can pay IDR 450,000 to travel from Bronggang, Argomulyo, Mbah Maridjan’s graveyard and return to Kaliurang Tourism Park. Chief of Kaliurang Jeep Community, Riswanto said that they now provide a package of night trip in a safari jeep for IDR 750,000. Tourists can now enjoy the lava tour, camping, fishing – which includes enjoying your catch for dinner, outbound activities, etc.
Riswanto further said that the safari jeep will allow tourists to enjoy the sceneries in the villages surrounding Merapi. “We are seizing this opportunity to offer a new type of adventure. The result is quite satisfying; many tourists have tried it. We take them on the tour almost every day. In the weekend, we use almost all of the jeeps. We provide 25 jeeps with drivers. We have organized the trip since 2010 and we started only with 3 jeeps”, he said in Boyong Street, Kaliurang, Sleman.
