Due to the success of Ramadhan Fiesta in 2011, the Management of Hotel Santika Premiere Jogja held for the second time a series of competition for orphaned children under the theme of “Ramadhan Fiesta 2012” as part of our charity program. The activities were aimed as an outlet for creativity, as well as to develop the talents and skills of the participating orphaned children.
Held at Sidomukti Room on 4 August 2012, the event began at 1300 (Western Indonesian Time) until break fasting time. Ramadhan Fiesta 2012 was attended by 100 orphan children who competed for the first, second, and third winners and were rewarded with trophy, certificate, and cash prize. Some of the areas of competition in the event were young preachers’ competition, adhan (call to prayer) competition, and Quran reading competition. Seven selected organisations across Jogja, namely Panti Asuhan PAY Putri Asyiyah, Panti Asuhan Putra Islam, Panti Asuhan Putri Islam, Panti Asuhan Sinar Mlati, Panti Asuhan Dzuriyah, Panti Asuhan Putra Muhammadiyah and Panti Asuhan Atap Langit were among the participating orphanage houses.
