The Rainbow Park is the first night theme park dedicated for families in Jogja. The Park is designed to entertain youngsters as well as adults and the elderlies with the various rides and facilities provided. The night fair has been held since 2007 on a temporary basis.
The night park is now established permanently. The Park has food court, fishing pond, and offer a live music which will feature national caliber entertainers every three to six months. The Park also has various rides for children and adults of which tickets start selling at IDR 10,000-20,000. There are about 20 rides, 24 food and beverages stalls in the Park.
The Rainbow Park features various famous characters in the forms of the lanterns exhibited. The biggest lanterns in the Park are in the shapes of horse-ride carriage, Jogjakarta Tower, Borobudur temples, etc. These lanterns are the main attractions in the Park. People can take picture of the unique lanterns, enjoy sumptuous delicacies at the food court or get on the various rides in the Park. Other facilities provided are among others toilets, mosque, some traditional huts where visitors can use as a resting place, gazebos, and several mini train carts where visitors can eat.
